Biography
Austrian composer and conductor, a specialist in lyrics, art songs, chorale works and instrumental works. Studying musicology at the Vienna University, receiving his PhD in 1906, he was a student and disciple of Schoenberg. After conductorships in Austria and Germany, he settled in Modling after WW I, teaching composition. Weber's output was small, just 31 works, for chorus, orchestra and three cantatas. He was a composer of the later romantic and expressionist period, representing the 12-tone music scale.
Shot accidentally by an American soldier, he died on 9/15/1945, Mittersill.
