Biography
Canadian adventurer, considered to be Canada's most accomplished extreme explorer.
Voyer began his mountain climbing as a young army cadet visiting the Rockies; he became the first person to cross the 1,000 kilometer stretch across four ice caps of Ellesmere Island and became the first Canadian to reach the North Magnetic Pole on skis.
In 1999 he added to his long list of accomplishments climbing Mount Everest. It was his second attempt.
In 2001 he reached the peak of Mount Vinson in Antarctica, 4,897 meters. He thus became one of only four explorers to complete the "adventure grand slam" that involves reaching the summit of the highest mountains on all seven continents and skiing to the North and South Poles.
Obviously an expert in his field, Voyer speaks to 150 groups per year.
