Biography
Peruvian centre-left politician and former presidential candidate, who became the first woman to be elected Mayor of Lima in municipal elections in 2010. She served as Mayor from 2 January 2011 to 1 January 2015.
She is vice-president of the Social Force Decentralisation Party (Partido Descentralista Fuerza Social, FS) and formerly worked as a journalist and a secondary school teacher.
