Biography
Belgian writer, diplomat and businessman, and the son of François Vaxelaire.
Heir to the “Au Bon Marché” department stores, founded by his father, he succeeded him, alongside his brother Baron Raymond Vaxelaire, in 1920. He became vice-president of the Société anonyme des Grands Magasins Au Bon Marché in Belgium and the Belgian Congo, as well as director of several companies, including Priba.
He died on 20 October 1942 at age 68 in Brussels.
