Biography
German film producer of more than 143 movies between 1933 and 1964. Ulrich became one of the major producers of German-language films in the post-war period. In addition to numerous successful Heimatfilm (homeland films), including the first West German colour film Schwarzwaldmädel (The Black Forest Girl, 1950) with Sonja Ziemann, and other entertainment films, Ulrich also produced sophisticated literary adaptations from the mid-1950s. Kurt Ulrich died in Berlin on 11 September 1967 at age 62.
