Biography
German art professor and visual artist, known for numerous oil paintings and gouaches depicting landscapes (such as the Eifel, Moselle, Saar and Lüneburg Heath) painted en plein air, and a remarkable variety of portraits including female and male nudes. He also created wallpaper designs, book illustrations and decorations, and interior church paintings. August Trümper died on 12 October 1956 in Oberhausen, aged 81.
