Biography
American First Lady, wife of President Harry Truman whom she married 28 June 1919. She was one of her husband's assistants while he was in the Senate and helped with the editing of his speeches. Their daughter Margaret was born in February 1924.
She died on 18 October 1982, from congestive heart failure at the age of 97.
