Biography
French recidivist rapist, nicknamed the "violeur des parkings" ("the parking rapist"), because he mostly attacked women in underground car parks at night, threatening them with a knife and violating them later.
The rapes occurred in the 1990s in the 11th and 20th arrondissements of Paris.
Patrick Trémeau was sentenced in 1998 to 16 years in prison. Released on 7 May 2005 after 10 years of detention, he committed another rape and was finally arrested in September of the same year. At the same time, a law was passed on recidivism and Trémeau was sentenced in February 2009 to 20 years in prison.
