Mexican-American pitcher in Major League Baseball (MLB), nicknamed El Carnicero (The Butcher), who played for the Chicago White Sox (2009–2010), Colorado Rockies (2012), New York Mets (2013–2015), Milwaukee Brewers (2016–2017), Washington Nationals (2018) and Detroit Tigers (2019); and for the Yomiuri Giants (2011) of Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB).
