American baseball right-handed pitcher who appeared in 90 games, 44 as a starter, in Major League Baseball for the Brooklyn Dodgers (1946–1948) and Boston Red Sox (1950–1952). He stood 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall and weighed 175 pounds (79 kg).
Taylor's professional career lasted from 1938 through 1955, with five seasons (1941–1945) missed due to United States Army service in World War II and another two (1953–1954) out of organized baseball in the semipro ranks.
He died on 5 November 2000, aged 81, in Terre Haute, Indiana.
