Biography
Norwegian mathematician known for his textbooks and contributions to theoretical economics. He was professor of mathematics at the University of Oslo from 1985 to 2007.
Sydæster died by drowning in Costa Blanca, Spain, on 29 September 2012 at the age of 74.
