Biography
Norwegian economist and politician of the Conservative Party. He was one of the founders of the Institute of Social Economy at the Norwegian School of Economics, in 1951. He was also one of the contributors to the creation of the Shipping Economy Institute (now the Centre for International Economics and Shipping), in 1958. He became professor of shipping economy in 1966. In 1973 he was appointed Knight 1st Class of the Royal Norwegian Order of St. Olav.
