Biography
Italian engineer and one of the most renowned Italian professors in the field of Science and Technology of the 20th Century. He graduated in civil engineering in Bologna at age 22. At 29 he obtained the free teaching in Science of Construction in Pisa. He taught in Padua, where he became ordinary professor at the Royal Institute of Architecture of Venice and the Politecnico di Milano. From 1943, also in Milan, he took over the direction of the Corso di perfezionamento for reinforced concrete structures. He died on 30 October 1967, aged 71, in Milan.
