Biography
Belgian comedian (theatre), dancer and singer, aka Jean-Michel, he was mostly known for being alcoholic. After his father's death, just after his birth (aged 3 weeks), he was bred by his old sister. On 7 September 1944, he married Huguette Clerc (his 3rd marriage) and divorced in 1954. Lately, he led a conservatory (dramatic art) in Brussel, attended by Serge Reggiani.
His famous son Jean-Philippe (singer Johnny Hallyday) was raised by his uncle, Lee Hallyday, when Léon left his family. Adopted by his aunt Hélène and uncle Lee, Johnny grew up in Paris.
