Biography
German chemist and university teacher at the TH Dresden (Dresden University of Technology). In 1925, together with Walter Müller, he invented the electric Simon-Müller-Ofen, a crucible furnace for porcelain production. In 1927, he patented another invention, the Simon cryostat. He died on 5 May 1962 in Dresden, aged 69.
