Biography
American civil rights activist, the wife of Richard Leo Simon, co-founder of Simon & Schuster publishers, and the mother of singer Carly Simon, mezzo-soprano singer Joanna Simon and Broadway score writer Lucy Simon.
On 15 February 1994 Simon died of lung cancer in her Riverdale home in the Bronx, New York City, at the age of 84.
