Biography
Italian phytopathologist who conducted research on cereal rust biology, genetics of these and other pathogens, and diseases caused by edema. He became professor of plant pathology at the University of Florence in 1938, and director of Plant Pathology in Rome in 1948. He died in Rome on 2 December 1964, aged 69.
