Biography
German painter known for his landscapes, but also some portraits. He produced illustrations for the primer for the Catholic elementary schools in Württemberg. He studied from 1884 to 1892 at the Stuttgart Art Academy with Jakob Grünenwald and Friedrich von Keller. Works by Schnitzer can be found in the Municipal Art Collection in Murrhardt, the home town of his wife. He died in 1939.
