Biography
Italian comedian who with Gigi Sammarchi formed a comedy duo known as Gigi e Andrea. They worked on stage, in films and on television.
The pair started performing together in small theatres, cabarets and hostelries in Bologna in the second half of the 1970s. They became first known in 1978 thanks to their performances on the Rai 1 variety show Io e la befana.
In the 1980s, they starred and co-starred in several comedy films which were usually badly received by critics but commercially successful.
In the 1990s, the duo split in order to pursue solo projects.
