Biography
American astrologer.
Her parents were Reeves Lewenthal (founder of Associated American Artists) and Elinor Lewenthal (nee Davidson). She had two daughters, Lacey Astra and Maya-Bella.
A graduate of the Stockbridge School in 1959, Lana attained her Master's degree in Psychology from Cambridge College in the 1980s. A fierce individualist and wildly adventurous, Lana wore many hats; A renowned photojournalist, her photographs were published in the Somerville Journal, National Geographic and numerous newspapers, magazines and books, Civil Rights Activist, War Protester, World Traveler, Psychologist, Potter, Astrologer, and Cat Rescuer.
She was member of the following associations: Vietnam Veterans Against the War, National Geographic, World Wildlife Federation, Amnesty International, The National Council for Geocosmic Research (NCGR), Mudflat Potters Association, Haystack Mountain School and the Meezer Express (Siamese Rescue).
Lana Reeves died on her 72th birthday, August 4, 2013 at 09:15 a.m. in Somerville, Massachusetts after a nine year battle with cancer.
