Biography
French poet.
Son of a locksmith, he held throughout his life the profession of baker.
Jean Reboul is the author of the famous Angel and Child, published in 1828. Among his other poems, The Last Day was among those who secured him an honorable place among the French poets. In 1852 the imperial government would confer a decoration. He replied that he did not "gone to the state monument" and refused. He was Catholic and royalist.
He died 28 May 1864.
