Biography
German writer, playwright and screenwriter, who celebrated his first successes as a writer and playwright before the First World War. Several of his plays ran at various theatres in Berlin. After his war effort, he developed into a much read author.
After the seizure of power by the National Socialists (Nazis) Presber, together with another 87 writers, signed the pledge of loyal allegiance to Adolf Hitler in October 1933.
He died on 30 September 1935 during a fracture operation in St. Joseph's Hospital in Potsdam, aged 67.
