Biography
Denis Peploe was an Edinburgh painter and sculptor known for his landscapes of Scotland. He studied with the painter and sculptor Andre Lhote in Paris. He had a fondness for the landscapes of the Western Highlands and of the Hebrides (his mother was a native Gaelic speaker from Barra).
