Biography
French physician, professor of forensic medicine, and founder of the Center for Forensic Medicine. He was involved in the development of social hygiene, especially among the elderly. He was also a member of the Nancy city council from 1896 to 1904. He died in 1938. One of his sons, Jacques, became a noted doctor.
