Chilean political and working-class businessman, member of the Communist Party of Chile. He was elected deputy for Santiago, First District, (1937-1941) and member of the National Democratic Party, which adopted the name communism to be in hiding by the Law of Internal State Security. He joined the Standing Committee on Government Affairs, Public Education, the Roads and Public Works, of Labour and Social Legislation and the Interior Police. He was elected Senator of the Republic by the Provincial Association Curicó, Talca, Maule and Linares, for the period 1941-1949, this time his party, the Communist Party adopted the name National Progressive Party. He integrated the Permanent Commission of Public Works and Roads, Labour and Social Welfare. Among the motions with other parliamentarians, it is that concerning compensation for occupational accidents, articles of the Labour Code, Act Nº8.198 of September 14, 1945; allocation of resources for the celebration of the Bicentennial of the city of Talca, Nº7.184 of 14 July 1942.
He died on 15 July 1944.
