Biography
German equestrian who won the gold medal at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin and later served as an army general during World War II. He commanded the 20th Panzer Division and was awarded the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross with Oak Leaves and Swords.
Hermann von Oppeln-Bronikowski died on 19 September 1966, aged 67, in Gaißach, a municipality in the district of Bad Tölz-Wolfratshausen in Bavaria.
