Biography
French veterinary doctor who was appointed Director of the Garches branch of the Institut Pasteur in 1953. During his tenure, he decided to set up a production plant for polio vaccine, type P. Lépine. In 1968, at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he advised the Afghan Government on how to set up an institute for the preparation of vaccines and serums in Kabul. His books include L'épopée pastorienne et la médecine vétérinaire (1974) and Garches et son histoire (1981). He died on 14 December 1978 in Paris, aged 73.
