Biography
German poet and writer, alias Teut Ansolt. During the latter years of the Weimar Republic (1919-1933), he was one of the most prominent and controversial leaders and authors of the German Youth Movement. In post-war Germany he was chairman of the Saarland Author Association and the Saarland Cultural Committee as well as managing director of the Germany-Foundation. His work includes poetry, drama, amateur dramatics, several short stories and novellas, and critical writings. He died on 10 January 1975.
