American impresario, President of Broadway in Boston, McLean is credited with contributing to the revitalization of the Theater District in Boston. As a boy, he sang soprano with the Boston Boy Choir, and his fascination with the arts has remained high ever since, working in commercial theater for the past 25 years. Under his aegis, Broadway in Boston has partnered with Clear Channel to resurrect a decrepit and dormant Opera House in Boston.. Previously, McLean was vice president for domestic touring of Disney Theatrical Group, overseeing the road productions of such hits as "Beauty and the Beast," "Aida," and "The Lion King." McLean is described as "garrulous, compact and energetic, campy and courteous." He is the second child in a family of five; his mother was born in Ireland, and he grew up in the Irish Catholic neighborhood of Dorchester, MA. He attended Boston College High School and then Boston University where he began working in the theater.
