Biography
Scottish folk singer-songwriter, actor, author and poet.
McGinn was a prolific songwriter and is recognised as an influential figure in the British folk music revival of the late fifties to early sixties.
Matt McGinn died in a fire at his Glasgow flat on 5 January 1977 having fallen asleep with a lit cigarette in his hand.
