Biography
American film and television screenwriter best known for his work on B-movies across a wide range of genres, ranging from silent action movies (e.g. The Speed Classic, 1928) to comic sci-fi horror films (e.g. Invasion of the Saucer Men, 1957). His many TV credits include popular series such as Tarzan (1967) and My Favorite Martian (1964–1965).
Al Martin once held a party for his dog at the Knickerbocker Hotel in Los Angeles, and invited notable A-listers like Joan Crawford and their dogs. He died on 10 October 1971 at age 74 in Studio City, California.
