Biography
Canadian actor, writer and director, and prolific playwright.. He wrote a screenplay adaptation of his own "Marion Bridge" in 2002 and it won the CITY TV Best First Feature Award. As a play, "Marion Bridge" had its off-Broadway debut in October 2005.
In addition to his work as a writer, director and sometimes-actor, he and colleague Sherrie Johnson ran da da kamera from 1987-2007. The theatre company toured internationally bringing his work to audiences in Australia, Europe and the Mid-East as well as to the US and Canada.
In 2006 a collection of his plays was published as "I Still Love You." The collection earned him the Governor General's Literary Award that same year.
