Biography
Italian physiologist, the first to publish that a lipolytic pancreatic factor is responsible for the lipid metabolism oxidation.
Ugo Lombroso was raised in a Jewish family of scientists and intellectuals. His father was the famous anthropologist Cesare Lombroso. His sisters were the anthropologist and child writer Paola Lombroso Carrara and the medical writer Gina Lombroso.
He died in Genoa on 10 April 1952, aged 74.
