Biography
Norwegian politician of the Labour Party. She was a member of parliament from 1958-1977. She was also a member of the Norwegian Nobel Committee, which awards the Nobel Peace Prize, from 1 January 1948 - 31 December 1977. She was its leader from 1968-1978.
Lionæs died on 2 January 1999 in Oslo, Norway, aged 91.
