Biography
French singer, one of the earliest Montmartre singers, who performed in the early 1880s at the Chat Noir and Eldorado cabaret nightclubs, amongst others in Paris.
He was nicknamed 'le barde au bouc noir' (The black goat bard) and 'le chauve chevelu' (The bald scalp).
He married Berthe Duthier. Legay died on 15 March 1915 in Paris.
