Biography
German painter and printmaker.
His work was a synthesis between impressionism and the German expressionism that started with the erection of Die Brücke in Dresden, 1905.
He was befriended with Friedrich Karl Ströhe. In 1911 they travelled to Spain. In 1926 he had a major exposition in Berlin.
He died 1955 in Berlin.
