Biography
American sound engineer who won three Academy Awards for Best Sound, for Cabaret (1972), The Exorcist (1973) and E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial (1982). He was nominated for seven more Oscars in the same category. He worked on over 100 films between 1963 and 1995. Robert Knudson died on 21 January 2006 at age 80 in Columbia, South Carolina.
