Biography
Dutch scientist and professor at the University of Utrecht. He was professor of experimental physics, physical geography and meteorology from 27 September 1888 and professor of mathematical physics and theoretical mechanics from 12 August 1896.
He died on 1 May 1902 in Utrecht, aged 50.
