Biography
Portuguese royalty, the King of the United Kingdom of Portugal, Brazil and the Algarves, acknowledged as the titular Emperor of the newly independent Brazil on 15 November 1825, four months before his death, even though his son Pedro I had been de facto Emperor since 1822.
He died, possibly of poisoning, in Lisbon, Portugal at 5:00 on 10 March 1826.
