Biography
German military officer, who served as general of the Württemberg infantry in World War I. On 28 August 1916 he received the Pour le Mérite, the highest Prussian bravery award for his services on the western front, and on 20 February 1918 he was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Württemberg Military Order of Merit.
He was the son of Colonel Albert Ferdinand von Hügel of Württemberg (1809-1884). His grandfather was the Württemberg Lieutenant General and Minister of War, Ernst von Hügel (1774-1849). He died on 4 January 1928 in Nonnenau at age 74.
