Biography
American Navy Admiral, who was Chief of Naval Operations from 1 July 1978 until his retirement on 30 June 1982. He flew missions during the Korean War and was awarded several honors including the Distinguished Flying Cross. After his retirement from the service, he established Hayward Associates, a consulting company specializing in international business development and was co-founder of an educational service company called Voyager Expanded Learning.
