Biography
Norwegian resistance fighter during WW II. He was a member of Milorg where he had various leadership positions. Hansson and several members of his group were arrested on 9 December 1944. When the commander of the pro-Nazi state police Karl Marthinsen was killed on 8 February, it was decided that Hansson and several others were to be executed in retaliation.
In the the four volume work "Våre Falne [Our Fallen] 1939-1945," commissioned by the Norwegian government in 1945 to commemorate those who had perished during the war, Hansson's entry is in Volume 2, p. 226.
Hansson was executed on 9 February 1945 at the Akershus Fortress in Oslo, Norway. He was 26.
