American accident fatality; a Halloween tragedy, she died two days before her 14th birthday.
An all-star town league softball player, responsible and intelligent, she was out with a group of her friends for trick-or-treating, dressed as a doll for Halloween.
About 20 minutes after leaving her house, she dashed ahead of her friends to cross the street, was hit by a car and killed instantly on 10/31/1993 at 4:54 PM EST, Middleboro, MA.
The driver was within the legal speed limit and was not cited. All ten kids had flashlights and bright clothes on at the time of the tragedy.
