Biography
American costume designer known for his work on the original 1968 Planet of the Apes scientific fiction film. He was nominationed for the Oscar for Best Costumes for this film at the 41st Academy Awards. He was nominated for the same Oscar at the 37th Academy Awards (Best Color Costumes) for The Unsinkable Molly Brown, and at the 44th Academy Awards for What's the Matter with Helen?. He died on 22 March 1987 at age 62 in Rome, Italy.
