Biography
American football guard who played professionally with the Cleveland Browns (1946), Buffalo Bills (1947) and the Baltimore Colts (1948) of the All-America Football Conference. Previously, he had been drafted in the thirty-second round of the 1945 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He played at the collegiate level at Marquette University. George Groves died on 23 July 2011 in Mexico, Missouri, aged 90.
