Biography
Belgian pathologist and professor mainly engaged in research into the functioning of the adrenal gland in relation to blood pressure and other organs. Later, he published numerous works as evidence of his statements in this part of medicine.
His name remains connected to the term "Goormaghtigh cells" or "Goormaghtigh juxtaglomerular device."
He died in Sint-Martens-Latem on 2 January 1960, aged 69.
