Biography
French film actress who began her career as an infant (1-year-old) and then child actor.
Her best-known role was in the 1929 epic La Merveilleuse Vie de Jeanne d'Arc, fille de Lorraine (Saint Joan the Maid) in which she played the title part of Joan of Arc.
She was first married to Pierre-Charles Pathé (brother of film producer Charles Pathé) in 1931, and had a second marriage to André Conti in 1936.
She died on 16 December 1995, aged 83, in Ascona, Switzerland.
