Biography
American actor, director, cinematographer, and producer of television films and documentaries. He is the son of actor Debbie Reynolds and singer Eddie Fisher. His first business venture was the record production business.
In 1980, he had a spiritual awakening. Ordained in 1982, he helped found the Hiding Place Church. He tried TV Evangelism for a period on the cable series "Nightline," adding the nice touch of his sense of humor.
Fisher married Donna Freberg, the 23-year-old daughter of satirist-comic Stan Freberg in 1981. They had a baby who died at birth in late August, 1986.
When his mom's Las Vegas hotel-casino became deeply mired in poor management and unpaid bills, he took over as CEO in June, 1995. He tackled a daunting problem by first clearing up employee problems, upgrading the service and improving the restaurant.
After his marriage to Freberg ended, Fisher married Christi (née Zabel) Rivers, mother of children Vanessa, James and Brandon with her former husband, singer Johnny Rivers. They remained married until her death on 17 August 2008. Fisher then married actress-businessperson Catherine Hickland on 25 December 2012.
