Biography
Costa Rican philologist, translator, essayist and journalist. He distinguished himself mainly as a columnist in the newspapers La Nacion and University and directed the English newspaper The San Jose News. His principal writings were collected in the work of Aura Rosa Vargas Araya Cristian Rodriguez Estrada, philologist and journalist (Anthology) (1988). He also distinguished himself in works of translation in English and other languages. He was professor of the Normal School of Heredia. He entered the Costa Rican Academy of Language in 1968 (chair I).
He died in 1980
