Biography
French physician, chemist, hydrologist and climatologist.
At the beginning of June 1915, when he was a professor at the Faculty of Medicine in Paris, he was one of the four pharmacists in the Asphyxiating Gases Commission (replaced by the Commission for Chemical War Studies on 18 June). In 1917, he developed the neutralization of yperite by chloride of lime and developed a method of cleaning infected garments.
He died on 20 January 1940, aged 76.
